Pupil Premium at Northway
PUPIL PREMIUM AND ITS IMPACT
What is pupil premium?
The Pupil Premium Grant is additional funding allocated to children from families who are eligible for free school meals as well as children who have been looked after for more than 6 months and children from service families.
This additional funding is allocated to help schools close the attainment gap for those children who are from deprived backgrounds.
The government decided to further extend the Pupil premium to all those pupils who have been eligible for free school meals at any point in the last 6 years.
Northway currently has 45 pupils receiving Free School Meals, out of 100 pupils on roll.
