Online resources and websites

Here you will find a list of online resources and websites that we think you will find useful and helpful.

We regularly check these links to make sure that they are still working and accurate, however, Northway cannot take responsibility for pages maintained by external agencies. Please do let us know if the links are not working or the content has changed.

If you have any recommendations for websites that you have found helpful please let us know.

Gonoodle – Inspire movement and mindfulness at home! GoNoodle is available for free at home and we love the fun and energetic dance videos and the calming mindfulness activities.

Busythings – Fun learning activities at home. Busythings is free with an LGFL login. Ask your class teacher if you don’t have your login details. We love the great animations and the number games.

Ginger Tiger – Engaging activities for SEN learners. Ginger Tiger comes with a free trial to see if you like it. We think the great interface and level of activities is brilliant for all of Northway learners. This website really does make learning fun so we would highly recommend you give this a go.

Top Marks – Find some great interactive activities in maths and literacy. We love the numeracy activities which can be adapted to the right level for each learner.

NSPCC – Great advice about online safety. Loads of useful resources to keep to make sure Internet connected devices are safe for your child.

Phonics play – A site with lots of phonics activities to help children learn phonics at home. At the moment all the activities are free, just use the code JAN21.

Rhyming – multisensory – Stories through sensory activities. We love multi-sensory stories at Northway and this website has free, fully resourced multi-sensory stories that are laid out in a step by step manner.

Widgit online – create symbols that can be used at home. If you need symbols whilst at home you can access over 15,000 symbols through the LGFL portal of widget.
