Dear Parents/Carers,
Following on from the Government announcement last night, I am writing to you all today to outline what will be happening at Northway School.
As you will be aware the Government advice is that all special schools should remain open even in those areas which have been identified as COVID hotspots as is the case here in Barnet.
We fully intend to be open for all those families who wish to send their children in but we do need some time to ensure we are clear as to how many children we will be having in, and that all our safety protocols are in place to ensure the children and staff are as safe as they can be. For this reason we will not be open for children on Monday 4th January and will start the new term on TUESDAY 5th January. Transport have been informed and they will not be picking up your child on Monday.
If you would prefer to keep your child at home for the next two weeks, we will fully respect that decision – you will not be penalised and we will support with home learning - please email head@northway.barnet.sch.uk to let us know if this is your intention.
