Honey Bees come to Northway
Northway had a special visit from a Bee-Keeper who taught the children in N and R class about honey and the importance of bees. We even got to see inside a real colony!

Northway had a special visit from a Bee-Keeper who taught the children in N and R class about honey and the importance of bees. We even got to see inside a real colony!
N & O class had a super visit to the Thames Valley Adventure Park. The children loved the park and played and learnt all day long!
We would like to extend a huge thank you to Pizza Hut, Mill Hill and Pizza Express, High Barnet, for donating pizzas for our Year 6 Camping.
Children from Northway participated in a sports event at Allianz Park. They were able to try out a range of different sports, from boxing to golf, rowing to rugby.
What is Northway doing about the new The General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)?
We experimented with exploration and discovery using our senses. We made Sensory Rockets, which were great fun thanks to Mark at ‘Hands On Science’. The children tasted different ingredients (apple juice, lemon juice, sugar and bicarbonate of soda) to help them create a rocket that launched with a ‘pop’.
During the day we ran a drama workshop with children from other primary and secondary schools.
At Northway we have been using our iPads to explore augmented reality. We have all been fascinated by by our new visitors to the school.
Students at Northway have been learning about gardens and plants in our very own allotments.
On the last Thursday of term, N class hosted a charity toy sale for everyone in the school.
It was a hugely successful event and much enjoyed by everyone who took part.
In total the children managed to raise a total of £133! Proceeds will go towards a special school in The Gambia.
Please help us to raise money for the ME 2 WE charity project! This charity teaches our children an awareness that other children and people, both in the UK and abroad, are not as fortunate as we are.
The children in N class have decided to fundraise for books and toys for a school in the Gambia. The children decided that a good way to fundraise would be to have a toy sale on Thursday 29th of March and at a later date a tuck shop.
This week Northway School took part in a Sport Relief Mile event at Middlesex University.
Pupils from N class were joined by lots of colourful characters, students from the university and our friends at St Joseph's School, Hendon, to raise money for the Sport Relief charity; together we walked a whole mile around the Middlesex University Campus and had lots of fun supporting such a good cause!
